GETTING TO THIS POINT WASN'T EASY

Can We let you in on a little secret?  
Everything you thought you knew about churches getting Grant Funding is about to change… ...and that’s a GOOD thing!  
If we haven’t met before, We’re Angela and Victor Myles Better known as The Myles Factor of TheMylesFactor.com. We’re also the former executives of Vision of Hope a multiple seven-figure community program that was birthed from a small outreach church.  
That being said, We didn’t always know what we were doing, and we spent a lot of our early years trying to get grant funding! We had no clue where we needed to begin when it came down to grants. Didn’t know how to operate a corporation, and definitely not how to properly account for future grant funding. After a few years of being lost and 15 failed grant attempts later, we finally realized that we were totally focusing on the wrong things.  
Funders didn’t see us as a church that wanted to do the work of the Kingdom, they saw us as any other corporate nonprofit business seeking support. Most churches are not automatically designed to work together with grant funders. And that’s the reason you’re NOT getting funding.
Our “aha!” moment came when (in a moment of extreme burnout from hustling and serving to do #allthethings for our community) We decided to give up on what wasn’t working (trying to go straight for the jugular and request hundreds of thousands of dollars with no track record or any other support) and actually, invest in the organization, and utilize our nonprofit tax status to build a funding foundation that lead us to millions.

After submitting our fair share of grant proposals and sponsorship letters ranging from $100 to $20,000

We finally realized 2 things:

One

There is no automatic hack to overnight grant funding success. As a faith-based nonprofit, understand this: you're uniquely called to help others, but you are still a business FIRST.  When you open your organization to be guided by that, bringing in grant funding time after time moves from being strange, to systematic. 

Two

Copy-paste, 'one-size-fits-all' grant writing solutions don't work because they are not specific to your mission and cause and no amount of cut and paste can solve an unclear and unfocused grant proposal.  The truth is most of fearful of the process of grant writing because they don't understand how it works.

And that’s when we finally realized:

The minute we hit the rewind button and implemented a Grant writing system for our church’s community outreach everything changed.   We developed a concept we call the “grant writing system” and found out that our grant writing efforts needed to work together as an actual system and stack-- and not just to have “kitchen sink syndrome” hoping someone would choose something we offered to fund.  Contrary to what we had done in the past, we focused on learning more about the funder, what they wanted, what they didn't, and how to create a quality application based on what we had already done.  Because if we got this right, we knew that we could do so much more.  

A few months later, we received a letter in the mail, that not just one, but both of the programs we submitted grants for would be funded to the tune of $20,000!!! 

What happened in the years to follow blew our minds.  The more we worked on the system of grant writing and focused on the business side of the vision, the more grant funding would qualify for, and the more funding we received, the more people we could serve!  The more we used this process to create a strategy, the faster we got at applying for funding.  Even at a moment's notice. And it's the same strategy We've now taught to over 500 organizations throughout the country.
